How do you Walk the Great Wall?

To Walk the Great Wall, you need to find your free pedometer inside specially marked Kellogg’s® packs which include Kellogg’s Sultana Bran 820g (Australia & New Zealand), Rice Bubbles 530g (Australia only), Rice Bubbles 850g (Australia Only) Corn Flakes 825g (Australia Only), Mini-Wheats 5 Grain 765g and Coco Pops 785g (Australia and New Zealand). Wear your pedometer every day and count your steps.

Once you have your pedometer, you then need to register online by entering in your name and email address in the fields provided and create a character name. You will then be prompted to enter the number of steps recorded on your pedometer. Reset your pedometer to 00000.

Return each day to the website and record the new number of your steps. The more steps you take, the further along the wall your character will travel.

There are 5 stages to be completed. When you complete each stage, you can either play a game or take a quiz.

You can travel along the wall faster if you join or create a team. All the steps recorded by each team member are added together. You cannot play the games or take the quizzes until you complete the steps yourself.

What are the rules? The rules are:

• To complete the whole wall, you need to have counted a total of 1 million steps on your pedometer and recorded these steps on the website.
• The recommended number of steps you should take each day is 13,000.
• The maximum number of steps you can record each day is 20,000.
• The minimum amount of steps you can record is 1.
• There are 5 stages to complete as you travel along the Great Wall. Keep entering your daily steps until you reach the end. Your progress page will tell you how many more steps you need to take.
• When you complete each stage, you can learn about the Great Wall of China and have the option to take a quiz or play a game, This will depend upon the stage you have travelled to.
• You can replay the games and quizzes found at the end of each stage.
• You can’t skip stages, so you will need to keep walking and entering your steps to keep travelling along the wall.

Can you go back to play the games?

Yes. You can go back and play the games and quizzes if you have finished those stages which hold those games. All you have to do is log in and select which game you want to play from the progress screen.

What are the rules for teams?

• To complete the wall, the total number of steps entered by team members needs to add up to 1 million.
• The minimum number of team members is 2 (including you) and the maximum is 5.
• The steps taken by each team member will be added together to help the team progress along the wall faster.

Can I join any team?

Yes. You can select any team from the list and join it. Select the type of team you wish to join and then pick one of the team names appearing on the screen. You will be able to see the code names of all members of that team and they will see your code name. You can leave the team at any time. You cannot be kicked out of a team without your permission.

Can I leave a team?

Yes. You can leave a team at any time. Go to manage teams and click the “leave team” button.

Can I join more than one team?

Yes. you can join up to five teams at one time

Can I create a new team?

Yes

Can anyone join my team?

Yes. Another 4 people can choose to join your team. Tell your friends your team category and name, and they can select it from the list.

What happens if you forget your log in details?

Remember your first name (user name) and email address (password). If you forget your log in details, you can just register again (although you will have to start from the beginning again).
